Lately, I’ve been thinking about what’s hot in travel right now — and truthfully, it’s not the flashiest new resort or the most exotic destination. Everything is leaning toward something more meaningful.
But I think “meaningful” confuses people. It’s as if we’ve decided that something can’t be both meaningful and luxurious. That nature can’t be luxurious. That walking through town with a gelato in hand somehow doesn’t count as luxury.
Yes. It. Does.
Because it’s not just what you’re doing — it’s how you got there. Were you jammed into a train car with fifty people? Or did you have a tiny vintage Moke parked in your driveway, waiting to whisk you into town?
Street food? That’s luxury too — if it’s following a day at the beach club, surrounded by your best friends, celebrating a 50th birthday, still in swimsuits and sun-kissed, walking home barefoot and happy.
That’s the version of luxury I believe in — the human side. The ease.
And that’s what led me to think more deeply about villas.
A mini Moke, St. Tropez France
There’s a point in your travel life when you’ve done it all. You’ve stayed in the suites, collected the upgrades, and can order your favorite cocktail in three languages.
At some point, you realize what you really want isn’t more — it’s ease. That’s when villas start to make sense.
Villa on the shores of Lake Como, Italy
You pull up to the gates. Your driver opens the door, and before you’ve even reached for your bag, a porter has already disappeared with it.
No check-in desk. No front desk “one moment please.” Just a polished, smiling staff member greeting you by name, holding your favorite cocktail (because, yes, we told them).
Your kids? They’re already halfway to the pool, being handed local sweets like celebrities.
There’s no schedule. No rules. Just the quiet hum of possibility.
Tennis after breakfast? Maybe. Lunch on the terrace or down by the water? Why not both. Dinner in town? The car will be waiting. And that photographer we booked to capture your family at golden hour? They’ll arrive just as the light hits perfectly — because timing matters.
That’s the villa experience: everything unfolds around you, quietly and beautifully, like it was always supposed to.

A villa isn’t Airbnb with better linens. It’s your own private hotel — fully staffed, fully serviced, and fully yours.
We have access to villas all over the world that don’t exist on public sites. Think clifftop Amalfi retreats, beachfront estates in the Caribbean, Provençal farmhouses with chefs who know the best local market days, and ski chalets in Megève where the coffee appears before you wake.
These are properties built for every stage of life: multi-gen gatherings, 40th and 50th birthdays, destination weddings, or just that “we deserve something special” week.

Luxury isn’t always chandeliers and tasting menus. Sometimes it’s not doing the dishes. It’s knowing your bags will be carried, your itinerary managed, and your driver already waiting.
It’s the relief of not having to think — just to be.
And yes, ease costs something. But if your time is your most valuable resource (and for most of my clients, it is), it’s worth every cent.

So if you’ve already done Paris, the Maldives, the Amalfi Coast — do them again. Just differently. Do them in a way that feels slower, deeper, more intentional.
Because the next level of travel isn’t about where you go — it’s how you experience it.
Dinner at your villa, complete with staff
If you’re planning that milestone — the 40th, the 50th, the anniversary, or your daughter’s wedding — consider this your sign.
A villa isn’t just where you stay. It’s where the moments that matter most unfold with ease.
✨ Curated. Connected. Completely effortless.
